Bulkit · the purchasing centre of Teixa companies
Alone, an SME pays the list price. Together, it negotiates.
Every company orders its materials, machines and supplies on its own, in small quantities. Bulkit pools the needs of the companies that use Teixa, by product, region and date, to get volume prices from suppliers that one company alone rarely obtains.
You describe what you need, Bulkit pools and negotiates, then you receive an offer. You are only committed once you sign it. Bulkit is included in every Teixa subscription and is always on.
How does Bulkit work?
From request to order, in the order things happen.
- You ask for a productMaterials, machines, vehicles or supplies: name, quantity, delivery region and wished date. Add a description, a link or the data sheet if needed. If AI is on, photograph the product label and the form fills in by itself.
- Your request joins a groupIt is added to other companies' requests for the same product and region, on a common board. You see the total quantity and the number of companies in the group.
- Bulkit negotiatesRequests are combined into lots (category, canton, delivery month) and put to suppliers with the volume of the whole group.
- You receive an offerSupplier, items, unit prices excl. VAT and validity date. You pick the lines you want, or decline the offer.
- You sign, the order is firmThe signer gives their name and role; the signed order is kept as a PDF in Bulkit. Until then, your request could still be changed or deleted.
- Or you commit for the yearOn an annual contract, you commit to a volume at a price fixed for the year, then order as your worksites need it.
Open group buys. A supplier can also make an offer directly to all companies: you enter your quantity before the end date. If the quantity target is reached, the order is confirmed; if not, it is cancelled and any payment already made is refunded after a check by the Teixa team.
What changes compared with buying alone?
What an SME buying alone often does, next to what Bulkit does.
The middle column describes common practice, not a measurement. Bulkit does not promise a figure for the discount: the price depends on the volume pooled and on what the supplier accepts.
| The moment | Often today | With Bulkit |
|---|---|---|
| The price | The usual supplier's list price, or a discount negotiated for a single company. | A price negotiated for the volume of every company in the group.Common board → offer |
| Finding the right product | Catalogues, phone calls and web searches, supplier by supplier. | A photo of the label or a web search from the form (when AI is on): one click fills in the request.Ask for a product |
| Committing | An order placed by phone or e-mail, with no clear record of who committed the company. | A request with no commitment, then an offer signed by an authorised person, kept as a PDF.Offers and orders |
| The year's purchases | One-off orders at the day's price. | An annual volume committed at a fixed price, called off as needed.Annual contracts |
| The worksite cost | The materials invoice copied into the worksite tracking. | A group buy linked to a worksite is added there as a materials cost.Bulkit → Worksites |
How does Bulkit fit into the rest of Teixa?
Bulkit comes to you where a purchase is being prepared: a small window suggests the group buys and forming groups that match what you are buying.
Where Bulkit shows up in your work
- A scanned supplier invoiceScanner you photograph the invoice, Teixa reads it → Bulkit “In your purchases”: Bulkit group buys for the same products
- A quote being preparedQuotes & invoices the items of the document → Bulkit “In this document”: the matching groups and group buys
- Your worksites' needsWorksites materials and material costs → Bulkit group orders: the needs of your nearby worksites (25 km, 14 days) pooled to reach partner suppliers' price tiers
- A confirmed group buyBulkit group buy confirmed, linked to a worksite → Worksites materials cost added to the worksite
Environmental details. In group orders, each product shows its grey energy (kg CO₂-eq), its share of recycled material, the RC-C concrete mention (SIA 262/1) and, for a chemical product, its safety data sheet.
Who sees my requests and prices?
Other companies see what they need to pool: the product, the total quantity, the number of companies, the region and the dates. They never see the name of the company asking.
Some details of a request stay private: the delivery place, the target price, the price you pay today, your current supplier, your internal note and attached documents (current invoice or quote). The product's name, brand and reference are visible to other companies, without your name: put neither a client nor a worksite there.
A supplier invoice scanned for Bulkit feeds the price index anonymously only: just the material, unit, supplier, net price excl. VAT, region and date are kept, never the buyer. A price only appears in the index from three records upwards.
Like the rest of Teixa, Bulkit is hosted in Switzerland, by Infomaniak (Geneva). Details in the privacy policy.

Other questions
- How much does Bulkit cost?
- Nothing extra: Bulkit is included in every Teixa subscription. The goods you order are invoiced separately, at the price of the offer you signed or accepted (see the terms, section 5d). Subscriptions are on the pricing page.
- Am I committed when I make a request?
- No. A request is an intention: you change, withdraw or delete it as long as it is neither ordered nor signed. You are only committed when you sign an offer or join a group buy.
- How does payment for a group buy work?
- When online payment is offered, it is charged when you join and refunded if the target is not reached, after a check by the Teixa team. Otherwise, joining is a firm commitment with no online payment: the order is confirmed if the target is reached and cancelled if not.
- Do I have to be a construction company?
- No. Every company that uses Teixa has access to Bulkit. The products requested today are mostly building products (materials, machines, vehicles, supplies), but anyone can ask for what they need.
- What do I need to start?
- A Teixa workspace. Open a trial workspace, then the Bulkit app: your company becomes a member straight away and you can make your first request.
- What if nobody else asks for the same product?
- Your request stays open on the common board until other companies join it or the wished date has passed. A group without a minimum set by the supplier is ready from three companies.
